What We Stand Behind, Service by Service
The short answer
We stand behind our work, and the coverage depends on the service. Hydro jetting can carry a one-year clog-free warranty when the line qualifies. Standard water heater installations carry one year of labor and workmanship coverage. Descaling has no clog-free warranty. The warranty that applies to your job, and its length, is stated on your invoice.
The principle
DrainMaster stands behind its workmanship and the work it performs. Service-specific warranty coverage applies to the components and work we install or repair, and does not automatically extend to pre-existing parts of your system outside the work scope.
Where this page and your invoice differ, the invoice controls.
Hydro jetting
The one-year clog-free warranty applies specifically to qualifying tree-root intrusion after successful root removal. It does not cover foreign material, structural defects, or unrelated causes. It applies only when the cleaned line is a warrantable line.
Lines with breaks, bellies, significant offsets, yard traps or other structural conditions that make them prone to recurring stoppage aren't eligible. A recurrence caused by foreign material, such as wipes (including those marketed as flushable), feminine-hygiene products or paper towels, isn't covered either.
Main sewer cabling and camera inspection
After cabling a main line, we may recommend a camera inspection. If a camera inspection is recommended and declined, warranty coverage on the drain-cleaning work may be limited or unavailable, because we can't verify the condition of the line.
When a camera inspection after the cleaning shows no condition that materially undermines the line's reliability, the technician may issue a limited warranty for the period stated on your invoice.
Cast-iron descaling
No clog-free warranty is offered on descaling. Descaling removes scale and restores as much usable flow as is practical, but older cast iron can remain porous or carry defects that still contribute to future stoppages.
Water heater installation
We provide one year of labor and workmanship coverage on a standard installation. Defects in the heater itself are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You register the product with the manufacturer where registration is required, and we help with the manufacturer's claim and service process if a covered defect comes up.
If something isn't right: callbacks
- 1 Call us about the concern with the work we completed.
- 2 We schedule a return visit to evaluate the workmanship and the service provided.
- 3 If the issue is covered, we complete the covered work.
- 4 If it isn't covered, the technician explains what they found and reviews your options before any additional work proceeds.
Coverage is service-specific
Coverage differs by service, and it isn't open-ended or lifetime. It depends on the service, the condition of the system, and what the invoice states.
Common questions
Is there one warranty that covers every job?
No. Coverage is service-specific and is stated on your invoice. Hydro jetting, main-line cleaning, descaling and water heater installation each have their own rules.
Does the hydro jetting warranty cover a clog caused by wipes?
No. A recurrence caused by foreign material, including wipes marketed as flushable, feminine-hygiene products and paper towels, isn't covered.
Who registers a new water heater with the manufacturer?
You do, where registration is required. We help with the manufacturer's claim and service process if a covered defect comes up.
