Terms of Service

Terms governing your use of the DrainMaster website and the services we provide.

These Terms, effective September 11, 2026, govern your use of the DrainMaster website and set out how we handle requests, pricing, warranties, and payment. Please read them carefully; the written estimate or invoice for your job governs that job.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and DrainMaster Incorporated (“DrainMaster,” “we,” “us”), 4696 Trabue Rd, Columbus, OH 43228. By using this website or requesting service from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. The written estimate, work order, or invoice for a specific job governs that job; where it conflicts with these Terms, the written job document controls.

Use of This Website

You may use this website to learn about our services, read our articles and guides, and contact us. You agree not to use it to send spam or automated requests, to scrape or copy its content for another business, to attempt to interfere with its operation or security, or to submit information that is false or that belongs to someone else without their permission. When you send us a request, you confirm that the contact details you give are yours and that you are authorized to arrange service at the address you provide.

The information on this website — including service descriptions, articles, cost guides, and promotions — is provided for general reference. It is not a diagnosis of your plumbing and is not a quote. Promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated and may end without notice.

Service Requests and Scheduling

Submitting the website form or sending us a message is a request for service, not a confirmed appointment. A member of our team confirms every request with you before anything is scheduled. During office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) we follow up on website requests as soon as we reasonably can. Requests received after hours, on weekends, or on holidays are handled on the next business day. If your problem is urgent, please call (614) 276-1510 rather than waiting on a website request.

Our technicians need safe, reasonable access to the fixture, drain, cleanout, or work area. If we arrive at a scheduled time and cannot access the work, we will discuss options with you before proceeding. We do not schedule normal service on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, July 4, or New Year’s Day.

Emergency and After-Hours Service

Phones are answered after hours. Emergency requests are scheduled with the earliest available qualified technician.

A $125 after-hours emergency dispatch fee applies to emergency service outside regular office hours, in addition to any applicable service-call fee and the cost of the work itself. The dispatch fee is not credited toward the repair, and paying it does not guarantee that the repair can be completed during the same visit — parts, access, site conditions, scope, and technician availability may require follow-up work. Holiday emergency service may carry a higher premium; we explain availability and the applicable premium before we dispatch. Nothing on this website is a guarantee of a specific arrival time.

Estimates, Pricing, and Scope Changes

Starting prices. Any starting price or price range published on this website or given by phone assumes the scope stated with it and reasonable access to the work. It is not a final quote. Your technician confirms the price with you on site before work begins.

Diagnostic visits. Some visits carry a service-call fee, which we tell you about when you book. When you approve the recommended work, that fee is normally applied toward the job. If the technician evaluates the problem and presents options and pricing and you choose not to proceed, the service-call fee still applies.

Concealed conditions and added work. Drain, sewer, and water-line work can reveal conditions that were not visible when the price was set — for example broken or offset pipe, heavy roots or scale, an unmarked utility, or a second problem behind the first. When that happens, we stop, explain what we found and what it changes, and get your approval before any added work is performed. We do not promise that the first number can never change; we promise explanation and approval before it does.

Excavation and site restoration. For excavation, storm-drainage, and similar work, your written estimate states what is included. Unless it says otherwise, final landscaping and site restoration, private or unmarked utilities, permit, engineering and inspection fees, and concealed conditions may be excluded or handled by a change order. Read the written scope for your job.

Free Estimates and Second Opinions

Free estimates are offered for water-line and sewer-line repair or replacement. Other services are priced on site after diagnosis, and a service-call fee may apply as described above.

Free second opinion. If another company has given you a written estimate or scope of work, you may send us that estimate or scope, together with any relevant photos, by email or text. A member of our leadership team or an appropriate lead technician will review what you send and give you an approximate second opinion or pricing range based on the information reasonably visible in those materials. A remote, document-based second opinion is not a final, site-verified quote: hidden conditions, incomplete information, or conditions discovered on site can change the scope and the price.

Warranties and Callbacks

DrainMaster stands behind its workmanship and the work it performs. Service-specific warranty coverage applies to the components and work that DrainMaster installs or repairs and does not automatically extend to pre-existing parts of your system outside the work scope. The warranty that applies to your job, and its length, is stated on your invoice. Where these Terms and your invoice differ, the invoice controls.

Service-specific rules we apply:

  • Hydro jetting. The one-year clog-free warranty applies specifically to qualifying tree-root intrusion after successful root removal, and only when the cleaned line is a warrantable line. It does not cover foreign material, structural defects, or unrelated causes. A line with breaks, bellies, significant offsets, yard traps, or other structural conditions that make it prone to recurring stoppage is not eligible. A recurrence caused by foreign material — wipes (including those marketed as flushable), feminine-hygiene products, paper towels, and similar items — is also not eligible.
  • Descaling. Descaling removes scale and restores as much usable flow as is practical. Older cast-iron pipe can remain porous or defective, so no clog-free warranty is offered on descaling.
  • Main sewer cabling and camera inspection. After cabling a main line we may recommend a camera inspection. If a camera inspection is recommended and declined, warranty coverage on the drain-cleaning work may be limited or unavailable, because we cannot verify the condition of the line. When a post-service camera inspection shows no condition that materially undermines reliability, the technician may issue a limited warranty for the period stated on your invoice. Heavy scale, significant roots, offsets, breaks, trench rot, and other defects can shorten or eliminate eligibility until additional cleaning or repair is completed.
  • Water-heater installation. We provide one year of labor and workmanship coverage on a standard installation. Defects in the heater itself are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, not by DrainMaster; you are responsible for registering the product with the manufacturer where registration is required, and we will help you with the manufacturer’s claim process if a covered defect arises.

Callbacks. If you have a concern about recently completed work, call us and we will schedule a return visit to evaluate the workmanship and service provided. If the issue is covered by your warranty, we complete the covered work. If it is not, the technician explains the findings and reviews your options before any additional work proceeds.

Payment and Financing

Payment is due as stated on your invoice unless we have agreed to other terms in writing. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice; if we send you an online payment link, that page is hosted by our payment processor under its own terms.

Financing is available to qualifying customers through Wisetack, a third-party financing provider, offered on your Housecall Pro invoice. DrainMaster does not make credit decisions, does not process financing applications, and does not promise any particular rate, term, or approval. Whether you qualify, and on what terms, is decided by Wisetack under its own agreement with you. Financing is not required to receive service.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please call (614) 276-1510 as early as you can so we can offer the time to another customer. We will do the same for you: if technician availability, an active emergency, or weather means we cannot keep a scheduled time, we will contact you and reschedule at the earliest available time.

You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or use our content or brand for any other purpose without our written permission.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This website is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components, and general information on it is not a substitute for an on-site diagnosis by a qualified technician. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DrainMaster is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.

The work we perform for you is covered by the warranty stated on your invoice and described under Warranties and Callbacks. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Ohio consumer-protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising from this website or from services we provide, are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any claim that cannot be resolved between us directly will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be a waiver of that right or provision, and if any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. You and DrainMaster Incorporated agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date on this page shows the current version, and the version in effect when you request service is the one that applies to that request. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including Your Privacy Choices including the California privacy rights section and how to opt out. Our SMS Terms explain how our text-message program works and how to opt out. Both form part of these Terms.
