Water Heater Installation Warranty, Explained
The short answer
Our installation carries one year of labor and workmanship coverage. Defects in the heater itself fall under the manufacturer's warranty. You register the product with the manufacturer where registration is required, and we help with the manufacturer's claim and service process if a covered defect comes up.
Two warranties, two jobs
Manufacturer warranty lengths vary by brand and model, so check the documentation for your specific heater.
- Our coverage: one year of labor and workmanship on the installation.
- The manufacturer's coverage: defects in the heater itself, under the terms of that product's warranty.
Registration
Where the manufacturer requires registration, the homeowner registers the product. Keep the heater's paperwork, including the model and serial number.
