Accessibility Statement

DrainMaster is working to make this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

DrainMaster is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our Commitment

DrainMaster wants every customer to be able to find a service, read what it involves, and reach us — whatever device or assistive technology they use. Accessibility is treated here as part of building the site, not as a box ticked at the end.

Conformance Target

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We describe this as a target rather than a certification: no outside audit or certification has been carried out, the site has been tested by the team that built it, and the known gaps are listed below rather than left unsaid.

What We Have Built In

The following are part of this website today:

  • A “Skip to main content” link that appears as the first item when you press Tab on any page.
  • Navigation that works fully from the keyboard. The service, company, and resources menus open on focus as well as on hover, can be closed with the Escape key, and reopen when you return to them.
  • A visible focus indicator on every link, button, and form control.
  • No cookie banner to dismiss: analytics consent is handled by region through Google Consent Mode, so nothing interrupts keyboard or screen-reader users on arrival.
  • Photo galleries whose lightbox can be opened, stepped through with the arrow keys, and closed with Escape, returning focus to where you were.
  • Alternative text on every image, and one main heading on every page.
  • Respect for your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting: animated reveals and smooth scrolling are switched off when it is on.
  • Colour contrast on text and controls that meets the AA ratio, measured on rendered pixels rather than assumed from the palette.
  • Primary call-to-action buttons, menu controls, and gallery controls sized for touch, and layouts that never scroll sideways on phones, tablets, or desktops.

What We Have Tested

Most recently reviewed between 9 and 11 September 2026, during the build, using automated testing with axe-core together with manual keyboard checks. The manual pass covered keyboard-only navigation and menu dismissal, visible focus, screen-reader landmarks and headings, colour contrast measured against rendered pixels, reduced-motion behaviour, and layout at 375px, 768px, and 1440px in three browser engines.

Confirmed in that review: every image carries alternative text, every page has exactly one main heading, no page scrolls sideways at any tested width, keyboard focus never becomes trapped, and no colour-contrast failures remain on the pages tested.

Known Limitations

We would rather name these than imply they do not exist:

  • Some in-line text links — breadcrumbs and links inside paragraphs — are smaller than the 44 by 44 pixel target size WCAG 2.2 recommends. WCAG exempts in-line text links from that minimum, but they are still small on a phone. Every one of them is also reachable from the navigation or the footer, where the link rows, the legal links (Privacy, Terms, Accessibility, Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, SMS Terms, Sitemap) and the social buttons were enlarged to 44 pixels tall on 11 September 2026.
  • Some parts of the experience are provided by third parties and are outside our control: Google Tag Manager and Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, the Wisetack financing application, and Housecall Pro’s scheduling, invoicing, and payment flows. We cannot fix problems in their interfaces ourselves. If one of them blocks you, contact us and we will complete the step with you by phone.
  • Our paid advertising sometimes uses a separate landing page at offers.drainmasterohio.com. That page is not part of this website and is not covered by this statement.
  • Some articles in our blog were migrated from our previous website. We have checked them for structure and alternative text, but older content may not match the newer pages in every respect.

If something here blocks you, please tell us — a real report from a person who hit the problem is worth more than any audit.

Accessibility Feedback

If any part of this website is difficult or impossible for you to use, contact us and we will help you directly and work on a fix:

Email [email protected]
Phone (614) 276-1510 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Please tell us the page address and what happened, and include the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it. We aim to reply to accessibility reports as quickly as we can, and we will always offer another way to get the service you were trying to reach — you can arrange any service on this website by phone instead.

Ongoing Work

We re-test accessibility when the site changes and before major releases, and we update this statement when the results change — including the date above and the list of known limitations. This statement was last reviewed on 11 September 2026.
