Gas Line Repair and Replacement Cost

The short answer

Gas line work is priced after we've tested and looked at the line. Pipe size and length, access, testing, permits and inspection, and the source of the leak decide the scope. If you smell gas, leave the building right away. Don't use light switches, phones or flames inside. Call your gas utility or 911 from outside, then call DrainMaster.

Assessment-based

No public starting price. The scope depends on what the site assessment finds, so a number in advance would be a guess. Here is what we look at instead.

What we look at

  • Scope is determined by the line's condition, pressure testing and code requirements.

What drives the scope

  • Pipe size and length.
  • Access.
  • Testing.
  • Permits and inspection.
  • The source of the leak and the rework it requires.

What "reasonable access" means here

Gas work is scoped on site after testing; how much of the run is exposed versus inside walls is one of the things that decides it.

If testing or the work turns up something the assessment didn’t cover, we explain it and you approve any added work before it starts.

Common questions

Is there a starting price for gas line repair?

No. The scope depends on the line's condition, testing and code requirements, so we price it on site.
